2 Year Old Child Sustained Laceration, But Was Not Shot

Dezerie Phillips

Pandemonium broke when the shot was fired, but many persons on the ground claim that more than one shot was fired and that it was not only the cop. Reports spread like wildfire that multiple persons, including a two year old baby, had been injured and rushed to medical facilities. The police maintain that no one was injured.

ACP Dezerie Phillips, Regional Commander, Eastern Division North

“Based on that incident, we have no reports of any injury caused to anyone in that regards. I also know and I heard reports of other shots being fired. We have launched investigation into the matter. We have not been able to confirm identity of any other persons who fired other shots. What we have been able to establish is that no shot was fired at any specific person. From all accounts we have able to gather is that shots were fired in the air.”

“There was a report that a small child, a two year old was injured when these shots were fired. Is that true?”

ACP Dezerie Phillips

“I have to categorically deny such a statement Mister Vasquez. That is what I heard on social media. I made it a point that our police officers, immediately after this incident, police officers were dispatched to all of our three main medical facilities—the K.H.M.H., Medical Associates and Healthcare Partners. And their mission was to verify if anybody arrived there with any kind of injury. We confirmed with medical authorities that nobody had arrived at any of these facilities with any gunshot injury. The mother of this child had consistently maintained that her child was shot. I took time out this morning and personally visited Medical Associates because through social media she revealed the name of her child and she revealed where she took her child. And I personally went to Medical Associates this morning, I spoke to the Chief of Staff and I was shown record that the child was taken there with a laceration to the leg that is not consistent with a gunshot injury. How the child got injured, only the mother can say.”
