Briceño warns Godwin Hulse He Cannot be Minister of Police and Immigration
The People’s United Party is also calling for Senator Godwin Hulse, who is Minister of both Home Affairs – which covers the Police Department – and Immigration and Nationality – to give up the former portfolio and not to be considered for appointment to the Senate Select Committee. Leader John Briceño explained that it would cause tremendous conflicts of interest in several instances because the police cannot investigate its boss.
On the Phone: John Briceño, P.U.P. Leader
“It is important to point out, that presently we have Minister Godwin Hulse, who is the Minister of Police and the Minister of Immigration. One, Minister Hulse cannot, and should not, be a member of the Senate Investigative Committee. Minister Hulse should recuse himself from participating as a Senator into these investigations. Secondly, I believe that Minister Hulse also needs to do the right thing: he cannot or should not be the Minister of Immigration and the Minister of Police. We cannot have the Police investigating their own boss – their own boss, their direct boss, is the Minister of Police, who is also the Minister of Immigration. So the right thing for Minister Hulse should be to give up one of those portfolios; to ask the Prime Minister, if he still believes in openness and transparency and accountability as per what he was screaming out and shouting out right up to 2008 – then he needs to ask the Prime Minister to remove the Ministry of Police. But he should not remain with those two very, very important ministries.”
Why not?

I need them to keep this scandal managed.
No legal or police investigation is needed.
