N.T.U.C.B. Frowns on Senator Ashley Rocke’s Change of Heart
Senator Ashley Rocke has come under intense scrutiny from the churches, whom he represents in upper parliament, since voting against the Senate Select Taskforce. In the aftermath of that critical vote, other organizations, including the N.T.U.C.B. continue to criticize the embattled pastor for his reversal in the vote. While President Mora admits that the matter hasn’t been discussed among the unions, he is certain that they oppose Rocke’s position.

“What is the N.T.U.C.B.’s position, and I know it’s fairly early and you guys may not have had consensus over the issue as yet, but what do you believe the position of your union body would be regarding the vote taken by Pastor Ashley Rocke in the Senate on Wednesday?”
Marvin Mora, President, N.T.U.C.B.
“Even though we have not discussed it I can speak clearly about it because our initial position and our vote at the Senate was that this whole scandal and the report coming from the Audit Department would be investigated through the Senate. So we first, originally we definitely would have been totally against that change on his way of voting at the Senate on that particular subject. So I believe that most of the members would be outraged. I, for one, I could not believe that he would have gone to change his own original position and that directive coming from his principals which is the churches.”
Outrage is right, Mr. Mora. Now let’s see some people take to the streets to protest this corruption, just like your union used to do, and even Barrow used to do when he was Leader of the Opposition.
