CitCo’s Sanitation Manager Hospitalized

Phillip Willoughby

The sanitation workers attached to the City Council have been working around the clock to get the city back to normalcy. But in the thick of things, there has been a setback because Sanitation Manager Percy Murillo has to be rushed to the hospital earlier today. Willoughby says that his perseverance and dedication may have contributed to his illness.

Phillip Willoughby, CEMO

“Mister Percy has been on a seventeen-hour shift coordinating the cleanup efforts as he is the sanitation manager taking directive from myself. And unfortunately this morning, I believe some medical issue showed up and as a result of that, his doctor required some tests, cat scan and so forth. So I am wishing him all the best and I am here by his side as he stood up through this storm alongside us and we owe him this much and we need to support him and his family.”

Duane Moody

“Sir it is believed that it is because of the workload that he has taken on over the past three-four days?”

Phillip Willoughby

“I wouldn’t want to say that it is as a result of that, but I most certainly I think it has contributed to it.”
