2 Homemade Guns Taken Off the Streets in Ladyville
Back in early July, the Belmopan police located the weapon used to murder Roaring Creek resident Maleek Norris. It was a homemade gun, simply two pieces of metal pipe and a shotgun shell. Today, in the wake of the murder of John Williams in Ladyville, police officers attached to the Rural Eastern Division also discovered two homemade guns in the Japan area, the community in Ladyville where Williams’ homicide took place. It is not known if either of the makeshift weapons was used in the committal of the crime. ACP Edward Broaster explains:
ACP Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Rural Eastern Division
“We conducted searches in the Japan area this morning. We did discover two what we would call single shot homemade shotguns in the area.”
