Breaking News: Robbery at the Income Tax Department in Belmopan

And there is breaking news from Belmopan tonight. We have been able to confirm that the Income Tax Department was robbed this afternoon at the close of the business day while cashier were reconciling the days collections.  The employees at the department were also robbed of their personal belongings including cell phones. The robbers were dressed in camouflage uniforms similar to those of the Gang Suppression Unit. According to a report, it was the department was able to alert the Belize City office through an internal messaging system. Police are still processing the scene and details at this time are few. We will have more on this developing story on Monday.
