A Female Cop is Assaulted Outside of Popular San Ignacio Nightclub

A female Police Officer is tonight recovering from injuries she received when a group of persons assaulted her. WPC Tracy Stevens was doing extra duties at the Blue Angels Nightclub in San Ignacio over the weekend when she got into an altercation with a young woman who wanted to get inside. That altercation led to a full-out assault by an intoxicated crowd, resulting in Stevens getting knocked down. Today, Superintendent Richard Rosado told News Five that Police have persons detained and are seeking others in connection with the incident.

On the Phone: Supt. Richard Rosado, O.C., Cayo Formation

“On Saturday, July third, 2016 about 12:30 a.m., the San Ignacio Police responded to a report of a Police Officer being assaulted by a group of individuals at the Blue Angels Nightclub. Initial investigations reveal that WPC Tracy Stevens and another police officer were performing special duties at the Blue Angels Nightclub when about 12:30 a.m. a female wanted to gain admission to the nightclub. Subsequently PC Stevens requested her ID as she appeared to be a minor. Immediately upon the police requesting her ID, she became boisterous…the female became boisterous and started insulting the police as she tried to force her way into the nightclub. The male individual that was with the female then picked up a cement block and hit the police officer in the back. WPC Stevens then fell to the ground then subsequently several other individuals then joined the male individual and started hitting the Police. WPC Stevens was then transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital. Several individuals were detained and two others are being sought by the Police for questioning. As a result of the incident Marcos Juarez was charged for Obstruction, Selvin Juarez for Harm and Troymane Harris for Assaulting a Police Officer and we are still seeking two other individuals.  The initial investigation that actually transpired – all the individuals were brought into the station, they were subsequently questioned…those that were not involved in the incident were released and those that we had evidential material to support, they were detained and subsequently charged.”

Where is the criticism towards these individuals that beat the Woman Police? where are the people that always take pictures and video police when they allegedly brutalize people? where are these people to record how those individuals beat up the police?

Why are you Belizeans so back way and hate the police and applaud these criminal behavior?
