Edward Broaster

This Saturday, the police department will be having a book fair in both the north and rural eastern division jurisdictions.  The community outreach program is being done to foster reading primarily in the youth, but caters to everyone. ACP Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Rural Eastern Division

“We are inviting all aged, all members of the community to come in, no matter the age and see if they are interested in any of the books that we will be having to give away. And we will be documenting who gets books, especially when it comes to young people and children so that we can follow up with them and do some kind of community cooperation with those individuals. And this is being done by the People’s Coalition Committee of Eastern Division Belize District. On north side, it will be on NaRCIE Parking lot on Freetown Road and in Ladyville, it will be right at the police station in the reception area that is not fully completed. There’s a trailer load, a container load of books. It stems from reading, mathematics, science books, leisure books; very interesting books. Cook books; a whole array of different books that anyone that is interested in reading can come and find a book o their delight.”
