U.S. Deportee Fined for not Checking in with GSU

Keith Flowers

A deportee, who was sent back to Belize from the U.S., will have to pay a fine for not reporting to the GSU as required. Twenty-five year old Keith Flowers pleaded guilty in the court room of Magistrate Emmerita Anderson and was fined four hundred dollars. He was deported for a carjacking in Los Angeles in January of this year and was to report to the GSU three times a week, but he failed to do so on June sixth. Flowers told the court that he was not well, but his medical documents were not convincing so he took the guilty plea and will have to pay the fine by September eighth, 2016 or in default, spend four months imprisonment. According to the records, Flowers has not been complying with the required visits to the GSU which were originally set for once for the week. But that has now been stepped up to three times a week.
