Belize City Resident Charged for Traffic Offences for RTA

There was a traffic accident in the city in which a boy, Eric Sanchez, was knocked off his bicycle, allegedly by a Tropic Air employee who police believe was intoxicated. Alexander Tesecum, a Belize City resident, has been charged with four traffic offenses. He appeared before Magistrate, Deborah Rogers and was arraigned for driving without due care and attention, negligent harm, driving with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit and failure to stop and render aid.  Tesecum pleaded not guilty to all charges and since there was no objection, Magistrate, Deborah Rogers offered him bail in the sum of one thousand two hundred dollars which he was able to meet and is due back in court in August.  Allegations are that on Wednesday night, the minor was hit in the area of Belcan Bridge by Tesecum’s vehicle and had to be rushed to the K.H.M.H. When police got to the scene they found the bicycle.

It is funny how Justice Moved so quickly for this incident and for another Road Traffic Accident things are still moving slow. You guys remember Orange Walk South Area Representative Jose Abelardo Mai. I guess the road to Justice is paved with many potholes….
