Patrick Faber Says He Doesn’t have a Problem with Women

Patrick Faber

The campaign for deputy leadership of the United Democratic Party was a spirited effort and both camps somehow managed to temper the mudslinging.  While the issue of Faber’s professional relationship with women in his ministry and his political life came up, he says the negative spin by his opponent caught him by surprise.  According to Faber, propaganda that he is unable to work effectively with women in his office is farthest from the truth.  In an appearance on Open Your Eyes this morning, he dispelled that notion by pointing to women he presently works with, including Chief Education Officer Doctor Carol Babb.

Patrick Faber, Deputy Party Leader, U.D.P.

“While I was prepared for a lot of what was to come in this campaign, some of what happened with the women candidates was a shocker for me.  It came from almost nowhere because I did not, I did not understand, I was not prepared to be dealing with that kind of accusation.  I have always worked well with my female colleagues in Cabinet.  Some of them that come to mind, of course Lisel Alamilla, Joy Grant and even the senators of our party.  Everybody will tell you that I never had any kind of animosity, so when it is that a campaign comes along and there’s this talk about me not being able to work with women, that was a blow for me from left field and I really had to sit down and think and of course my advisors spoke to me on this issue and we worked out how best we would deal with this issue.  And I think the best way that we found and this is of course a formula that is applicable to any problems, you look at the situation and you try to come up with ways of dealing with things, but the best way that we were able to come up with to counter this is to show how many other relationships other than those who were saying, well Faber can’t.  Let’s show how Faber has done and continues to work with women and it, you know, I believe that it was convincing to people, they knew that that was not me.  If you look at the amount of women that surround me in my workplace and that are there at my choosing, I readily point of course to my chief education officer, my two deputy chief education officers, you know, they are there at my request.”

There is a saying: “You love all women by loving one”, and the problem is that you didn’t love the one women you were required to love.

  2. John Saldivar says:

You know you have a problem with women Patrick you always making false promises to get them in bed. Broken promises that lead to problems that you can not handle.
