Shane Bahadur is Granted Bail Following an Attempt on Alrick Smith’s Life

Shane Bahadur

While Ladyville police connect the string of violent crimes in the jurisdiction, the suspect in the shooting of thirty-old year Alrick Smith was granted bail by the Supreme Court today. Shane Bahadur, a resident of Dove Street, Ladyville was arraigned last Thursday for the attempted murder of Smith, who was shot in the upper leg on May sixth, 2016 in front of his home on Eagle Street. Bahadur was recently released from prison after serving years behind bars. Bail was set at ten thousand dollars by Judge Herbert Lord.  But Bahadur must report to the Ladyville Police Station twice a week, he is not to interfere with the victim’s family and he must also appear at all his court adjournments until his case is disposed of.  If he violates his bail condition, his bail will be revoked. Bahadur was arraigned before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza on two indictable matters charged with attempted murder and wounding of Smith. Smith claims that on May sixth, while he was with his deceased brother-in-law Lionel Rhamdas, he was attacked by Bahadur and another person. The duo opened fire and one of the shots caught him in his left upper leg.
