Duo Freed and Rearrested on Murder Charge
Tarique Gillett and Lyson Cacho were arraigned in March and July 2015 for the murder of Michael Welch and the attempted murder of Kingsley Morrison. Last Friday, both were set free, but that freedom was short-lived because today they were rearrested and taken back to court. The latest evidence against the men is fingerprints lifted from a van believed to have been used in the commission of the crime. This afternoon, Cacho and Gillett were arraigned before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza for murder, attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm and sent back to the Belize Central until May thirty-first, 2016. Despite objections from Gillett’s attorney, Ivy Pitts, the duo was fingerprinted in a procedure that lasted about twenty-five minutes. Thereafter, they were taken back to prison.
If everyone does their job right, these morons will be in jail until they die.
