Boots Comes Out in Favor of John Saldivar

John Saldivar

While Finnegan has declared his unwavering support for Patrick Faber, Port Loyola Area Representative Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez is flexing his political muscle in the other corner.  This afternoon, he called a press conference to publicly support his fellow sports enthusiast John Saldivar.  The pair has been rather close, sharing a camaraderie that goes back many years.

Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez, Area Representative, Port Loyola

“I declare my support for Honorable John Saldivar as the First Deputy Party Leader for party.”

Isani Cayetano

“What brings you to this point where you’re throwing your support to this one particular candidate?”

“Well, it’s been a long thought and looking on the history of my involvement in the party I think that I like the calm maturity of John Saldivar.  I like his ability to talk to people and talk with people.  I like his intellectual capacity and I like his interaction in terms of dealing with the ordinary people and sports.  You know I’m very much, in some aspects, in sports lane: dominoes, of course I’m full fledge behind football.  So I and, me and John Saldivar, we have been in the trenches politically for a while.  And we both understand the nature of politics.  I think both of us have lost elections already and we have been comrades for a period of time and I think that John Saldivar has the ability to serve, in my humble opinion, as the First Deputy Party Leader.”

Isani Cayetano

“Politically, there are a number of delegates in your constituency.  Going forward, having declared your support for the candidate, are you now moving to mobilize your delegates come convention day?”

Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez

“Well of course, this was a decision made with my delegates of which I am extremely close, extremely, extremely close.”
