4 Chinese and Male Vendor in Hattieville Charged for Altercation

Wei Lin Huang

The Manager of Everyday Supermarket in Hattieville and three employees were arraigned on Wednesday for wounding entertainer Harrison Bruce fourteen days ago.  Wei Lin Huang, Manager of the supermarket, and Da Hong Jiang, Xing Hua Zhang as well as Wei Feng Xu, all residing at of Mile Sixteen, George Price Highway were charged for the alleged incident that happened on March tenth, 2016. Bail of one thousand dollars was offered and met by the group. But the tables also turned on Bruce because he too has been charged criminally for wounding Huang during an alleged fight that ensued between the two.  While Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer said she understood why Huang and Bruce were involved in a fight, she asked about the involvement of the employees. The trio explained that they intervened because Bruce was beating up Huang. But Bruce told the court that he was selling CD’s outside of the supermarket, and went inside to get a drink and after a squabble, he punched Huang on his face.  He lost his balance and that’s when he was attacked by the employees. According to Bruce, after being attacked by the four Chinese nationals, they left him to die. Huang, however, says that Bruce was intoxicated and cursing at customers and when he was punched on the face, he retaliated.
