BPP Secures Lease for New Headquarters

The B.P.P. did not do spectacularly well in the 2015 general elections, but the Party was present and accounted for. According to leader Patrick Rogers, it is all part of a long term plan which assures them electoral success. Today the party achieved a major plank in that plan with the opening of headquarters in Belize City. The headquarters will be located at the family home of leader Patrick Rogers which has been leased to the B.P.P. for ten years. Using this base, the Party claims that it will be doing things differently now.

“We have nothing to hide, no strings attached, nothing to hide. Yes we feel that the rate is reasonable. Obviously there are taxes which have to be paid on this property and it’s unfair for us to ask for it for free, which we could have gotten it for. The rent shall be five hundred dollars per month. We feel that for the size of this property, the location of this property, we thank the Rogers family who Patrick had to consult before this was agreed to – for allowing us to commit the next ten years to this property. Of course we’ll be investing quite a bit more in upgrading it.”

“This is different. This is nothing like you all have seen before. This is a bunch of brothers and sisters who have committed to our last breath and know that we will be turning this party over to younger brothers and sisters. We will go down in history as the builders. We don’t necessarily have to do the winning, which certainly we are predicting with the strategic plan completed in the next month or so. We are doing a ten year plan which will guarantee before I step aside that we would have started winning as independents in this country. This is a historic first step in establishing ten plus the ten option – twenty years of permanency for the BPP right here at #63 Vernon Street. We have taken roots Belize. Now it is to grow this thing. People who wanted to know how to reach us will have a central location where we can be reached. Our website is up and running. It’s not been publicized enough so people still don’t know. But I want to say this. We collectively as a group have committed to ensure that we inform the people. The message that we carry is always adding value to the political discourse out there.”

The B.P.P. says that by the end of this month it will be distributing a newsletter called The Progressive, and will also be looking into internet radio to get its message out.
