New Vehicle to Assist in Covering Expansive Rural Jurisdiction

The Rural Eastern Division covers about twenty-two thousand square miles and thirty-two communities. So it’s a given this truck is going to be a workhorse for the department which has always been strapped for resources. It’s an attractive vehicle with all the gadgets, but will it be able to stand the test of time and a brutal workload?

“We look at their Wingles that they bought in the past. They have a couple of the Wingles still lasting them. The key here is not about being tough on the vehicles. The key here is the maintenance schedule. Fortunately with the last batch of vehicles that we sold Police, they’re adhering to the warranty, they’re adhering to the service. So that is what we do at Caribbean Motors. We make it affordable for them. We don’t charge them labour costs, we just charge them for the parts that we use and we also assist them in giving their technicians, their Police mechanics training to also do the soft services on their own as well. So that’s the key, the service and maintenance.”

“We have selected drivers that have undergone proper training, and as well we have a maintenance program with the company, so these vehicles will be highly maintained. Our drivers are trained to ensure that they take good care of them. I was just asked by one of the Chairmen of National Aggregates how long we estimate the vehicle will last. A vehicle like this will definitely go well for us beyond three years.”
