K.H.M.H. Chair Chandra Nisbet-Cansino Steps Down

On Tuesday, News Five broke the story of the removal of K.H.M.H. Board of Governors Chair Chandra Nisbet-Cansino. She was approached on Monday and asked to step down, although she had recently renewed her contract for an additional three years. We also reported that the reason for her removal was political, a direct repercussion of the Nisbet family in Caribbean Shores not coming out in support of the U.D.P.’s Darrell Bradley as expected.  Today, Nisbet-Cansino chaired her last Board of Governors meeting at the K.H.M.H., and issued a release soon after. In that release, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to have served, but states that, “I am graciously stepping down to make way for a new Chairman who, I am certain, will do a good job and with whom I will work to ensure a smooth transition.” News Five has received credible reports that Nisbet-Cansino will be replaced by U.D.P. long-time faithful supporter and even one-time candidate Marilyn Williams.

Belize’s Loss times two. Cansino was doing her duty for the general care and concern of Belizean people. Williams is a failed attorney and failed FIU director.
