How Many Voters Came Out for General Elections 2015
For the General Election 2015, from a total of one hundred ninety-six thousand five hundred eighty-seven registered voters a total of one hundred forty-two thousand eight hundred eighty-one went to the polls to cast their vote; this is a percentage of seventy two point six-eight percent according to the latest figures released by the Elections and Boundaries Commission. These figures by the highest voter turnout was in the Corozal district at eighty-two percent, followed by the Orange Walk district at seventy-nine percent. The lowest is in the Belize district at sixty-six percent. The trend was the same in 2012 when both Corozal and Orange Walk registered the highest voter turnout.
