P.M. heads to Suriname for CARICOM summit

Even if he wanted to campaign for a favourite Deputy Prime Minister Said Musa would have a difficult task. He left today for the CARICOM Intercessional Summit in Suriname and won’t be back in the country until Friday. Dominating the meeting will be the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy and the establishment of the Caribbean Court of Justice. Accompanying the P.M. to Paramaribo are Foreign Affairs CEO Lawrence Sylvester along with Ambassadors Lisa Shoman and Sal Figueroa. Deputy Prime Minister Johnny Briceño will act as Prime Minister in Mr. Musa’s absence.
