U.D.P. Ground Commander is Ready to do Battle in Port Loyola

Anthony “Boots” Martinez

Since the announcement of early general elections on Monday, political machineries on both sides of the political fence joined now by a new third party, are gearing up for November fourth. The U.D.P. is seeking a third term in office while the P.U.P. is hoping it can break the U.D.P. control of government. When we caught up with the area rep for Port Loyola, Anthony “Boots” Martinez earlier today at an event, we asked if he was anticipating victory. The U.D.P.’s ground commander went on record to say that he has been ready in Port Loyola and that his party is looking at the number sixteen.

“I always say, two years come within your term and you are not prepared, I think something is wrong. I think for me, personally, I am prepared. For the party, I think the party is well oiled up, prepared and ready to go so I see no difficulty in terms of the fourth of November in regards to the party and I think on the fifth of November we will have a three-repeat government since independence the first of its kind…history.”

“Talk to me in terms of your predictions. Is that something you are willing to make public right now? Predicting how the election would go?”

“Well I am certain that we will get the sixteen and above to cross the line. We only need sixteen to cross the line you know. So I think we will pull the sixteenth man across the line and we’ll be there. It is positive for the United Democratic Party. We’ve done a lot of work countrywide and so I think that we are in good shape.”
