Minor Charged in Kareem Clarke’s Murder

Kareem Clarke

Tonight, after almost exactly two months, there is finally news to report in the shooting death of Kremandala journalist, Kareem Clarke. Clarke was gunned down in the early morning of July sixth as he rode his bicycle on Vernon Street, near it’s junction with Lakeview Street. Following a prolonged investigation, a seventeen year old minor has been charged and formally arraigned for murder today at the Belize Family Court. He was escorted there in shackles and handcuffs after being picked up on Monday. We cannot call his name because of his age, but we can confirm that he is no stranger to the Police. We’ll have more details on this story in Wednesday’s newscast.

  1. Corrupted Belize says:

I’m hoping Kareem’s family gets justice, because this was uncalled for and senseless.
Makes you wonder what’s really going on with the youths these days.
Belize seems to have “home-grown badman – hoodlums thats taking over the streets… but I won’t pin this on the government because it starts in the home.. actually more like a chain reaction though.
Hopefully, just hopefully, the law will prevail and justice will be served.
Something really has to be done, such a small country, where everybody knows one another AND they’re still killing out each other. SAD ..
