Trinidadians Await Results of Elections
There is also an election taking place today in Trinidad and Tobago where the polls have closed but a winner is yet to be declared. About one point one million voters were eligible to vote between the ruling People’s Partnership (contesting as comprising the United National Congress, the Congress of the People and the National Joint Action Committee); the Opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) and the Independent Liberal Party (ILP). Kamla Perssaud of the ruling party, according to the reports on the ground, is facing a serious challenge from Keith Rowley for the majority of the forty one seats. Here is a clip from Trinidad and Tobago’s TTV 6.
