Striker Deon McCaulay is a NO SHOW at Practice

Deon McCaulay

One key player on the Jaguars line-up was missing from practice this morning. Actually, reports are that prolific striker Deon McCaulay only showed up for two practices in August. Best indications are that McCaulay has been acting up since the team’s return from the Dominican Republic. We asked Slusher for some answers, since a stellar performance from McCaulay is one key to a victory on Tuesday. Slusher referred us back to McCaulay.

Charlie Slusher, Assistant Coach, Jaguars

“I really…I would like to…maybe you probably need to ask Deon with his mindset because he is not here this morning. I don’t know the reason why he didn’t come and do the final training for today. I think you would probably have to ask Deon what is his mindset because at this point in time, like I said, he is not here. So I cannot say what is his mindset. You probably might need to ask him about that.”

McCaulay was like another fan on the Game against Canada if he is acting up find another player and replace him, why worry he is not a complete football player what he thinks that he is Messi come on. I watch him closely when he plays and if you all notice he is like chicharito he needs a teammate to make a play for him so he scores , he is not aggresive he just stands on the field watching everyone how they play he didnt put that extra whenever trying to fight for the ball in other words he is sh7tn… All the cheers from the people has gone to his head and he is being more a negative influense to the type take him out of the national team

This reaction is a classic example of how people typically stereotype our athletes with very little consideration of other extraneous factors that resulted in the no show. It always have to be that the successful & talented player head becomes so big that he’s delusional?? Really?? Deon McCaulay, granted his accomplishments remains a very humble & modest individual. It is such an injustice to Mr. McCaulay that the very same country he loves & plays football for, is so filled with country so ready to bring him down. Deon is one of the most professional players on the national team to date. Do not sell him short. Why is it that Mr. Slusher don’t speak about Deon’s injuries that prohibited him from practices in August? Or the fact that national team players bounded by contracts aren’t supposed to report to the team until a week b4 the team plays?? What Mr. Slusher should speak about is the ever growing animosity and down right bias against Verdes FC players. He should speak about his alligations of match fixing where he attempts to smear players. FFB should really be fair and comment on the marginal stipend players receive. Talk about the substandard accommodation that lacks privacy & is hot & uncomfortable. The list can go on. So he missed a practice!! As assistant coach you should have a damn good relationship with your players to know what’s up!! Get real!
