“I will be leaving for Mexico where the Mexicans have been more than desirous of signing a number of agreements with us. In like manner in which the Guatemalans has signed those agreements, the Mexicans believe that the Guatemalans stole a march on them and they want to make sure that that doesn’t happen. So we have a number of agreements which we want to sign with them and a number of very good things for Belize which will enhance the relationship which we have with Mexico and which will bring tremendous benefits to Belizeans from all walks of life. So that is what we are going to be doing.”

Elrington was also bestowed with the Order of the Aztec Eagle in Grade Band and Meade was awarded the Order of Distinction Belize in Grade Band.
