PM says Castro Ain’t Going Anywhere

Dean Barrow

Of course, that call by the Opposition at this point is nothing more than a rhetorical flourish. Castro’s involvement in a visa scam is a moot point because he recently blew away his opponent at convention for the Belize Rural North constituency. So while the PM has heard Fonseca’s call…he’s certainly not picking up.

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“The man just won a huge convention victory. What happened in court is that he withdrew his defamation suit. How on earth would that be a basis for his removal from cabinet? That’s nonsense man; I’m not prepared to dignify that any further with any additional response.”

“Sir, but certainly the explanation that he has given or his attorney has given rather, is questionable.”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“I don’t know what explanation that is, but I repeat, Mister Castro was a huge victor in a convention in Belize Rural North where the numbers were substantial. That strikes me as a kind of endorsement, a vote of confidence, where his voters are concerned. So that is what I will go on.”

“Sir, but certainly as it relates to an investigation into the allegations that are being made…”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“Give it up, give it up. I don’t know about what allegations. This was not Castro being charged, you know; this was Castro having brought a defamation suit against people that he said libeled him. I don’t know how you get from there to suggesting that some investigation ought to take place, from my point of view.”

“But as an attorney, how do you retract a suit?”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“Thank you, thank you…we can’t be here all morning.”

LOL. Again Dean, you can fool the ignorant and illiterate in Belize. I’ve said time and time again that you have the “By Any Means Necessary” mentality. Be careful you don’t make history by being the first prime minister of Belize to be jailed.

  2. Ali BaBarrow says:

loyal thieves are needed for Ali’s cabinet.
Who on cabinet is not running some crime?
Bootyman serves Ali’s purpose, not the nation.
