Jamaican artists arrive for concert

Story PictureBelize City ah run red this weekend, thanks to Jamaica’s Fifth Element. That’s right, the all star line-up, including Richie Spice, Chuck Fender, Spanna Banna, and Anthony Cruz hits the city tomorrow morning for what promoters say will be a show-stopping performance at the Belize City Centre on Saturday night. Following their arrival, the group will participate in a motorcade through the city streets, which will end at the Putt Putt Bar and Grill. The band’s promoters and managers have been in Belize for the past week doing the legwork for the show and say they are hoping for an overwhelming response from the Belizean public.

You know the new generation now you see things ah just happen where you just can?t believe, everyday killing and all that. Them ah try fu bring peace and love in a cultural way, musical way, like a Bob Marley did. Anything weh Bob Marley sing, dah ah go on now you know.?

?We gonna just make this show a very good show because missing the show in April, they coming with extra, and they have new songs. I talk to them everyday and they hype up for it.?

Sponsors for the concert include American Airlines, the Putt Putt Bar and Grill, Bowen and Bowen, Euphrates Auto Rental, Dangriga Photo, Travellers Limited, Wave radio, and Krem TV. Tickets are fifty dollars advance, sixty at the door.
