What’s the Status of F.F.B.’s Finances?

John Saldivar

And one more issue on the F.F.B.’s press conference… Its president, Ruperto Vicente, wasn’t present because he had not yet arrived from Miami where he headed a delegation to the 2015-2016 Scotia Bank CONCACAF Champions League draw. At the head table were other executives from the federation including Marlon Kuylen, Michael Blease and National Team Coordinator, John Saldivar. Saldivar in his presentation, however, told the gathering that they are seeking financial assistance from the public and the business community for the national team.

“It is important to note those that it has been a heavy burden on the federation and I believe that the time has now come when we have to reach out to the Belizean public for assistance to be able to continue with our quest for the World Cup. And so if the president’s announcement, a few months ago, had served notice to the general public and especially to the business community that we would be later on coming to you for your assistance, this press conference can now be a notice to the general public and especially to the business community that we are now in need of your assistance for this program to continue.”
