Also on the crime blotter, twenty-four-year-old Shawn Pascasio was stabbed multiple times on Sunday morning during an altercation outside of Elements Nightclub on Newtown Barracks.  Pascasio was reportedly standing on the sidewalk in the company of several others when a fight broke out.  During the fracas a knife was produced and the Muhammad Ali Street resident was impaled several times in the chest.  Pascasio was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where his condition is listed as life-threatening.

Raphael Martinez, Police Press Officer

“On the twenty-fourth of May, at about 3:15 in the morning, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw twenty-four-year-old Shawn Pascasio suffering from multiple stab wounds.  Initial investigations reveal that Shawn was outside a very popular nightclub in Belize City, on Newtown Barracks when he was approached by either a person or persons.  A fight ensued which resulted in him being stabbed several times.  Unfortunately again, he is still admitted at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a critical condition.”

Frederick Bradley

This morning, twenty-nine-year-old Frederick Bradley was arraigned for the attempted murder of Pascasio.  He was also charged with use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm.  A subsequent identification parade also confirmed that Bradley was indeed Pascasio’s attacker.  In court, Bradley told Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer that this is his first criminal offence.  Bradley, nonetheless, was not offered bail and would be remanded to the Belize Central Prison until July.
