Another Roaring Creek Youth Gunned Down, Body Recovered in Camalote

Glasford Thomas

The body of a Roaring Creek youth was discovered on Friday night in a remote location in the village of Camalote. Sixteen year old Glasford Thomas had been shot multiple times and left in the bushes off a feeder road. His family believes that he was killed because of the company he kept, and Thomas has become the latest victim of the violence which has plagued the community of Roaring Creek in recent months. Mike Rudon headed West today and has the story.

Glasford Thomas was last seen alive by a family member at around eight o’clock Thursday night as he rode his bike through the village. The next time they saw him on Friday night he was dead, lying in these bushes about two and a half miles off the George Price Highway in Camalote, one mile past the Roaring River Golf Course. His body was discovered by a farmer passing by.

Police aren’t showing their hand just yet where the investigation is concerned, and say they are still trying to establish a motive. But the victim’s mother believes that her son was murdered by those he had once called friends. She says he used to be caught up in the gang life but had left it, and his life had been threatened before.

you will be one lucky person ( man ), if you can make it even past 17 in Belize seem like the age for living just when down to the teens. INSTEAD of gov both PUP and UDP, do something about the crime, they working to win the next elections, so they all can just sit back in their nice houses with running water and cable and tons of food in their house and driving their very expensive cars while pasting you, the ones that seem to don’t get it and keep killing each other over a street name that don’t even belong to any of you. Forget that we are all struggling together, the same way you hungry,I am hungry and you will waste your time, your life to kill someone and you still poor after the person dies. Don’t make any sense at all. Think bigger
