Infamous Felix Brother Shot on Gill Street
The gun violence in the Old Capital continued today. Over fifteen shots fired and three injured this afternoon. That’s what happened on Gill Street around two today. Residents say they heard about fifteen or more shots that sent people in the area for cover. But when the bullets stopped flying and the air cleared, three were nursing injuries. Well-known street figure Maurice Felix, one of the infamous Felix brothers, was hit to the leg, while Michael Anthony was shot to the back and leg. The third victim is an innocent resident, Rhonda Burgess, who was sitting on her verandah about two blocks away from where the shooting happened when one of the bullets hit her. A resident who was very shaken up over the incident spoke with us off camera.

“Earlier, we were talking and you said people say why you don’t move from here but really it is home; sometimes perhaps people don’t recognize just how far violence extends. It cripples the neighbourhood. You don’t feel safe anymore?”
