Tzib Ordered to Take a Psychiatric Evaluation

Keyren Tzib

Keyren Tzib is to return to Court on Wednesday, April fifteenth at two-thirty in the afternoon. At that time, a determination on her bail will be granted, based at least in part on the results of a psychiatric evaluation which must be conducted on her. Much has been said in the media about Tzib’s state of mind prior to the shooting. News Five has refrained from commentary of that sort because there has been no official confirmation from any credible medical authority that Tzib was unstable, or dangerous. Many of the allegations that she was considered a threat to her colleagues have come, in fact, from unofficial Coast Guard sources…who just may have reason to cast aspersions on Tzib’s sanity. Still, those reports in the media were enough to cause the judge to order a psychiatric evaluation. What we can state tonight, because it is confirmed, is that Keyren Tzib was having sessions at the Cleopatra White Health Center with a psychiatric nurse practitioner. We can confirm that she was on medication for depression. And we can confirm that despite the Coast Guard knowing that she was scheduled for a session with the psychiatric nurse on March thirtieth, Tzib was deployed on an extended mission at sea, causing her to miss that appointment.
