Guilty of Aggravated Burglary

Kevin Crawford

Kevin Crawford was found guilty of Aggravated Burglary when he appeared in court today to answer to charges in connection with a burglary at the home of Glen Ysaguirre on October ninth, 2012. In the trial which started in December of last year, the key witness, housekeeper Maria Ramirez, positively identified Crawford as the man who rang the door bell and burglarized the house. It was also presented in court that Crawford was discovered with the SIM card for Ramirez’s phone that he stole that day, as well as with a document that he had presented to her to gain access to the home.  Crawford told the court that he was in class at Saint John’s College Junior College at the time of the incident, so it couldn’t have been he who burglarized the home. In his defense, three of his classmates testified to his whereabouts at the time of the invasion. But Crawford’s story and the statements of his witnesses weren’t enough to prove that he didn’t commit the crime and he was found guilty. The sentencing for the twenty two year old mechanic was deferred until Monday, March sixteenth. Shortly before one on October ninth, a man ambushed the housekeeper at Ysaguirre’s home, tied her up and then proceeded to steal a several electronic items valued at over eight thousand dollars.
