Man Charged for Egging Elvin Penner

Allen Valencia was immediately detained on Friday after a group of protesters threw eggs and water at former Immigration Minister Elvin Penner when he exited the Supreme Court that day in Belize City. While only one of the missiles thrown missed the intended target, another one caught Sylvester Maldonado, who is believed to be Penner’s driver.  Today, thirty-three-year-old Valencia, a construction worker of Belama, appeared before court where he was charged with common assault and throwing missiles in connection with Friday’s incident. Valencia, who was unrepresented in court, pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was granted and met bail in the sum of five hundred dollars, and scheduled to re-appear in court on April twenty-third.  News Five understands that so far Maldonado is the only person who has made a report about Friday’s incident.

    And Penner is set free!

The way all politicians behave in Belize is appalling.

The people will get fed up with all the crap and there will be civil unrest soon!
