Day 4 of Christine Perriott vs. former employer

Story PictureIn day four of the trial of Christine Perriott vs. Belize Telemedia Limited, the final witnesses were called to testify today. After another round of cross examination of defense witness, Winston Aspinal, Ramon Carcamo was called to the stand on behalf of Perriott. Under cross examination, Carcamo conceded that under the Trade Unions Act, no regulations were ever made into law and the BCWU never received their registration certificate as is required by the Act. Martha Molina, an employee of the telephone company, was also called to the stand. Molina answered questions concerning the company’s appraisal system and the circumstances surrounding Perriott’s termination. Perriott’s attorney, Antoinette Moore, had initially indicated she wanted to cross-examine Dean Boyce, but by the afternoon she had changed her mind. With that Judge Muria said that he would hear closing submissions from the parties next week. Attorney Andrew Marshalleck is representing Telemedia in this case. Perrriot was terminated on February 27, 2007.
