Another P.U.P. Area Rep to be Charged in Orange Walk Town

John Briceño

While Marco Tulio Mendez is out on bail, another high ranking member of the People’s United Party is to be charged on Wednesday in the Magistrate Court. Last week, former Party Leader and Orange Walk Central Representative, John Briceño, was served with a notice of intended prosecution for negligent harm. It goes back to an incident that purportedly happened on January twenty-second when he was heading to an event to mark the opening of the Yo Creek and Trinidad Road. Briceño tells News Five that he asked a group of men to make way for him to drive pass, all did except for Christopher Hendricks, driver for Deputy Prime Minister Gapi Vega. When he didn’t, Briceño says that he had a discussion with Hendricks as to why he refused to move and that he then continued on his way to the opening of the thoroughfare. Hendricks is now claiming that Briceño ran over his feet, but interestingly at the time, according to Briceño, the driver neither complained of pain nor did he disclose that there was any contact with Briceño’s vehicle. So as we said, Briceño will be formally charged this Wednesday. We did attempt to get a reaction from the P.U.P. leader, Francis Fonseca, on this latest court action against a senior P.U.P. official. Fonseca called the incident “pure political mischief.”

The peaceful, constructive revolution died a long time ago. When dealing with pigs and thugs, the time is long overdue to take the gloves off. The UDP will always excel in finding new lows to stoop to.
