2 Persons Questioned for Roaring Creek Murder

Emerson Daly Jr.

Tonight, two persons are being questioned about the murder of twenty-four year old Roaring Creek entrepreneur, Emerson Daly Junior.  While Police are not saying if the men in custody are friends of Daly’s, they confirmed that the duo is from the Belmopan Area. On Wednesday morning, Daly’s decomposing body was discovered in the Belize River behind Banana Bank. Daly had been shot in the head. The owner of ‘Daly’s Dream Creation’ went missing on Sunday night after he borrowed a blue Nissan Pathfinder from his uncle, which he had promised to return shortly after. His family became alarmed when he didn’t show up on Monday, so they reported him missing on Tuesday. That same day only the vehicle was discovered on the Mount Pleasant Road a few miles outside of Belmopan. The vehicle, according to police, has what appeared to be blood stains in the back seat and on the floor, along with Daly’s slippers. A search for Daly in the surrounding areas turned up his blood stained shirt. So far, Daly’s cell phone and a few other small personal belongings haven’t been located. A postmortem conducted on site determined that the cause of Daly’s death was a result of a gunshot wound to the head. Daly’s family, since Tuesday, told News Five that they believe Daly knew his killer and they suspected that more than one person was involved.
