Family Remanded for a Bullet

At noon today a family, including a sixteen year old minor, was dragged to court on a single charge of possession of a round of a nine-millimeter ammunition, but the Chief Magistrate threatened to dismiss the charge if the police evidence is not strong against the family. Shantel Monique Usher, her cousin, Danika Usher who is a mother of a two-month old baby, Donovan Charles Usher, and a sixteen year old were arraigned for Kept Ammunition without a Gun License. Jeovanni Murillo is the fifth person in the group to be charged, but his arrest is pending. The members of the group pleaded not guilty and became emotional when they were told they will have to be remanded to prison until Friday. The bust was made on Tuesday morning at the house of Danika Usher located on Cardinez Alley near the Back-A-Town area, which is a known gang territory. Police officer Kent Aranda says that he found the bullet in a room lying next to a pink purse. Danika pleaded for leniency and her sister claimed she had just arrived at the house when police found the bullet.   Outside the court, the mother told us that her children are being framed as the bullet was planted in their house and that they are innocent.
