Repeat Offender Jason Wade Sentenced to Prison for Burglary

Jason Wade

A repeat theft and burglary offender was today sentenced to two and a half years in prison for a similar crime. Forty-two year old Jason Wade, who also goes by the name Jason Adolphus, was caught and detained by a homeowner from whom he stolen several items valued at one thousand two hundred and sixty-five dollars. Wade, who is originally from Saint Matthews Village on the George Price Highway, has two previous convictions for theft, one for burglary and was released from the Hattieville Prison five months ago. But on Monday, Daniel Chavarria says that Wade broke into his vehicle that was parked at his residence on Fabers Road and stole a measuring tape, a Samsung cell phone, a head light, an assortment of clothing and a drill. The break-in occurred just after midday and by the time police from Precinct three were alerted of the burglary in progress, Chavarria had already subdued Wade. While in custody, Wade reportedly took the officers to the location where he had stashed the loot. When he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser today, he pleaded guilty to the charge of theft, admitting to the court that he had a drug problem. Senior Magistrate Fraser then sentenced him to thirty months behind bars.
