Parents group raises funds with calendar

Story PictureThe Parents Association for Children with Special Needs is an organization recently formed by those who know just how challenging it is for a differently-abled person to get by in Belize. PACSN relies heavily on community support to fund its programmes and today took the opportunity to get a head start on the sale of its 2006 calendars.

Hector Romero, President, PACSN
?This is one of the many fundraising we will have coming on soon and this is donated by a private business. She had sent this calendar to be made in order to give us a portion of the collection from these calendars to the Parents Association for Children with Special Needs.?

?The money will be use–you know we got the donation for the building and once we get the building we intend to raise as much funds possible to buy whatever we need and also buy materials to give our children, especially, to do certain activities in order for them to be productive.?

The calendars are available for fifteen dollars at The Added Touch, which is situated next door to the National Fire Service headquarters in Belize City.
