Corozal resident dies after being stung by killer bees
Up north, a swarm of killer bees viciously attacked a resident of Paraiso, Corozal over the weekend. Sixty-six year old Gilberto Manzanilla was riding his bicycle in the village just before noon on Saturday when he was attacked by the bees as he approached the cemetery. He was stung multiple times all over his body and was taken to the Corozal Community Hospital. But unfortunately, Manzanilla did not survive the bee attack and perished. The cause of death has been certified as cardio respiratory arrest caused by the bee attack.
