“I am very happy to be returning to my homeland, Chetumal, as well as being close to my second home, Belize. I’m proud to have Belizean blood.  I know that many people from Belize will go see the fight.  I’m happy that many of my friends will be there and that motivates me to work harder in order to give a good fight. I will go to Belize whenever the Consul or my good friend, Joe Marin, invite me to fight there. And for tomorrow’s fight I will also carry a Belize flag so that all Belizeans are proud of me.  This is an elimination fight. I want to continue fighting and if God’s willing I want to win. After this fight I would like a rematch fight with the Japanese boxer that beat me the last time. And that will be an important world championship fight.”
