Woman Charged for Trying to Smuggle Weed into Prison

Twenty-five-year-old Quinn Arnold, an unemployed of Conch Shell Bay, pleaded guilty to the offense of possession of a controlled drug, after being busted attempting to smuggle weed into the Belize Central Prison in her private parts.   The discovery was made on Thursday by a female prison officer who stripped search Arnold upon entering the search area.  During the probe Arnold informed the officer that she was menstruating. That did not stop her from conducting the search which yielded a small bag containing ten grams of marijuana.  The bag was discovered inside Arnold’s private parts.  She was immediately handed over to Hattieville Police and charged for possession of a controlled drug.  In court this morning, Arnold appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Hettie-Mae Stewart where she pleaded guilty to the offense. A number of persons including male and female has fall a victim to trying to smuggle weed into prison for persons. The most recent culprit was Natasha Lewis, a Belize City resident who was caught last Friday at the Belize Central Prison with a hundred and nine grams of weed inside a shoe sole.
