Sister-in-law says Abac went missing 2½ months ago

Even as NCIB Head Russell Blackett was confirming the discovery of Sonia Abac, the grieving family of the woman who had been missing since April twenty-third were laying her remains to rest at the Piemont Cemetery. She was identified by her clothes and other items found with her remains. Her family is convinced that deportee and man on the run Manuel Castillo is responsible for the death of their loved one. Today one of Abac’s relatives spoke to us off camera. She was the one who had the grisly task of identifying Abac.

“I understand that you are sister-in-law to Sonia—she went missing on April twenty-third. Tell us how is it that you identified the body of your sister-in-law?”

“Well they only find from shoulder to knee with a bit of meat. Her feet, her hands, her head were separate. They found everything first, but then the head was missing so they had to dig. They found her in a well so they had to dig the sand with water and until they found it, they took it out and put it on top of a zinc. And they put the hair too because the hair was separate—the hair was long and everything. I saw the body and it was very sad to see something like that. They identified her because her left hand was broken. The doctor said that her skull was broken; her mandible was broken too and they found a purse. They found her digicell phone—the SMART phone they didn’t find it—her shoes, her clothes. The same clothes she had on when she disappeared; it was there too. I saw everything. And that’s all I can say.”

“Is it true they found her head somewhere else?”

“Yes the head was by another…they had to dig more in to find the head because that was the last thing they were looking for. On the same well, there were animal bones so the doctor had to separate the human bones from the animal bones.”
