Kenyan student caught with fake passport

Adannur Adan Abdullah

A young, Kenyan student who was busted at the Phillip Goldson International Airport was today arraigned on an immigration offense after he was found in possession of a fake, as well as an authentic passport he was using en route to the United States of America.  Twenty-three-year-old Adannur Adan Abdullah, a student and resident of Mandera, Kenya was today before the Belize City Magistrate’s Court where he was arraigned on a single count of using a document which you are not entitled to use.  Allegations are that he used a Namibian Passport issued on October eleventh, 2011 belonging to Ali Goreseb to enter.  In court, Abdullah wasted no time and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was fine one thousand dollars, plus one surety of the same amount to be paid immediately or in default six months in prison.  In a brief interview before his arraignment, Addullah told the media that he was only in-transit after coming into Belize on Saturday via an Avianca flight that entered Belize at around 4:30 p.m.
