Floyd and Christian Ebanks is the same person; he is wanted in Ecuador

Christian/Floyd Ebanks

It’s confirmed. Christian Ebanks, remanded on firearm charges, is Ecuadoran Floyd Ebanks Jurado, wanted for murder in that country. News Five has confirmed that shortly after arriving in Belize, the thirty-nine year fugitive visited the Vital Statistics Department and changed his name. And tonight, there is also confirmation that the Ecuador authorities want him very badly. Seen here, Christian Ebanks is the very picture of a successful businessman and socialite. He lived in Orange Walk for some time, then allegedly moved to Belize. He dated frequently, and unofficial sources tell us he was known to be hot-tempered… some might say violent. But the seemingly affluent man about town is now the man behind bars. Ebanks is currently housed at the Belize Central Prison, while authorities meander through the process of establishing through their Ecuadoran counterparts that Floyd and Christian Ebanks are one and the same. News Five has been informed that Belize and Ecuador do not share an extradition treaty, which means that Christian Ebanks cannot be extradited to that country. But he is still in a world of trouble, facing years in prison for an unlicensed nine millimetre pistol found at his home on Wednesday.  It is also known that the US Embassy has been in contact with Ebanks since his arrest and are assisting in the investigations. According to information available, Floyd Ebanks was booked in Glades County, Florida back in 2008 for immigration offenses. That information became available on Mugshots dot com in 2011.

  1. campaign manager says:

He was the campaign manager for the failed attempt at poliltics by the attorney sabido. He was known as the son in law and campaign manager. He was not married to any of his daughters though he was involved in the campaign calling the media houses to do interviews.

  2. Timber says:

Can someone please educate me. Maybe I missed something. How long has he been living in Belize? How can he just waltz into Vital Statistics office and change his name? What type of identification did he show and had in his possession? Wow! Is it that easy? Don’t we have a system in place where police records and department like Family Court to make sure men or women don’t owe child support?

  3. Orlando says:

Wanted in the U.S. so this guy is not known for anything good and yet Belize let him walk right in and he pretend to be somebody of great character? amazing how things like this happen all the time and they think he was well established, but again maybe for his criminal activity.

  4. Al Rich says:

Week after week I keep saying it cannot get any worse, I am proven wrong all the time. How could someone change their name in a country they don’t even belong to. What better way to hide but in plain sight. He did everything right until he had an ilegal weapon, who would look for a murder suspect running a public campaign, brilliant. I am glad the American embassy is helping in this case, because our people cannot handle it alone. Good job America.
