Belize to enjoy visa free privileges to enter the Philippines

There isn’t any local official report on it, but the Department of Foreign Affairs of Philippines says that Belize is among a group of countries that will enjoy visa free privileges to enter the Philippines for thirty days effective today. The other countries are Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.  According to the announcement from Manila, the visa waiver will promote tourism and investment. Applicants are required to present a passport valid for at least six months beyond the planned period of stay and a return ticket to the country of origin or onward ticket to the next country of destination. One hundred and fifty seven countries have been granted visa-free privileges by the Philippine government, but one country has been removed from the list and that is Somalia.

That is so sweet! Gees, I am touched. Tell me how the hell most of us are going to find the money to get there? Oh, right, got it. We will just go to Penner, Contreras, Saldivar, Barrow, Lois Young, Anwar et al for sponsorship. It’s great to know we have a deep pool of potential benefactors to reach the lovely Phillipines. Big thank you to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Oh, right forgot that fat cat. Sponsors, sponsors, what would we do without them.

It is not about the Belizeans going to the Philippines it is about the Philippinos going to Belize. Using Belize as a stepping stone to the US.

What difference does this make? we are free to travel throughout the Caribbean ,
yet how many Belizeans can afford to make these costly trips? We don’t have direct flights to any of these destinations. So we Still have to pay Uncle Sam a fee to obtain a visa, which is not guaranteed.
