Still no answers in hit & run that claimed the life of 13 year old

Earl Flores Jr.

The family of thirteen year old Earl Flores Junior continues to reel over his death. The minor was hospitalized since February in a coma after he was injured in a hit and run near his home in the Buttercup community near Burrell Boom. The young boy was found bleeding and unconscious on the side of the road. Flores died two weeks later on March third and still no one has been detained for the hit and run. His mother, Octavia Locario, is questioning the slow pace in the investigation.

“I’m still concerned about my son because the way I am seeing it, I am not getting justice. All I’m doing is going up and down to the police station and we are not getting any head way; it is like we are going backward instead of forward.”

“What are they saying?”

“Well the last time, we visit the police station, we went to the Ladyville Police Station and we saw the car at the station. We saw the blood on the car and the dent that my son drop on top of the vehicle. And when we ask about the accident and what happened, they told us that they send the blood sample outside to test to see if that is the blood of my son.  I mean, how could they sleep at night? I don’t understand how they can sleep…they have children just like I have children and I feel it and I’m going through a lot of problems right now at this moment. And I want justice; that is what I come to [Channel] Five to say.”
