Mytheon Solutions under scrutiny; millions in revenues?

Tonight there is much scrutiny of a company called Mytheon Solutions, registered in Belmopan in 2009. The family operated business deals in phone credit. In this case, at least, the dots have been easy to connect. Mytheon was started by U.D.P. Minister John Saldivar and U.D.P. Belmopan Mayoral aspirant Khalid Belisle. John Saldivar then took over sole ownership, and then transferred the company to his wife Darlene in 2010. It is alleged that certain key government departments and personnel are compelled to purchase credit from Mytheon. Those departments all operate under the Ministry of National Security. John Saldivar is the Minister of National Security. See…connect the dots for dummies. Supplying credit on such a large scale is big business, but there are reports that it is even bigger than we thought. News Five has been reliably informed that in just the past twelve months, Mytheon has raked in just under two million dollars in commission for credit sold. A source close to the company told us today that Mytheon supplies credit to the Police Department, B.D.F., Coast Guard, the Ministry of National Security and NEMO – to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars in commission each month for Darlene Saldivar, wife of John Saldivar. As we told you, more figures are coming in, and we’ll have a more comprehensive look at Mytheon Solutions and Minister John Saldivar next week.

So where is FIU (finance investigation unit)? To investigate these crooks making all the money and Belizean are getting poorer.

  2. Hatari says:

I knew he was a crooked SOB the first time I had to deal with him. Wouldn’t this be considered a conflict of interest and probably against the law? This entire rats nest of politicians stink of corruption. And what will the PM say about this one?

  3. Joe Blank says:

Where is the Bar Association? Where are the fire-brand Belize City Activist who were rabid about corruption destroying the fabric of the country when the PUP was in power? In this country all we seem to have left are cowards and conspirators! Musa thief and Barrow and Saldivar thief too!! One faces a firestorm figuratively in the form of vicious sustained press attacks and physically in the form of burning infrastructure (remember those burning lamposts?). The other faces no street action from the Mecca of Righteousness called Belize City. Why? You read between the lines Jack!

  4. I Belize, Ali Babarrow is the head thief says:

A Honorable Minister, one of Ali’s chief thief, is making money due to government connections.

What is wrong to profit off that?

You got government owned BTL, selling phone credits to a government minister (& wife), who sells it back to the government for a nice profit.

This is a sustainable parasitic relation, obviously Ali approves.

    So what is Ali’s cut?

  5. Rod says:

God damm thief people people enough is enough march to this pm house drag him out of hid bed and lock him up along with this all his thieving ministers,

  6. Belizean Pride says:

SEE HOW THEY SCREWED UP THE COYE FAMILY hope they would do this minister the same but wait nah! he’s a big fish untouchable, what a disgrace of high people we have in gov. this is what has made me a no political person now, I don’t trust any party and really angers me to see how this people have the guts to stand in public places to big up themselves while doing outrageous atrocities in our country and yet there are people who praise them and are willing to die for them if possible what a waste of humanity.

  7. Bmp man says:

    Screwed up the Coye family???

They have become rich over and over off the backs of the Belizean people for years and now we must feel sorry for them??

The question should be how much people see credit for this company!
I know at least 50 persons who work for this company – including myself!

So what should they do?? Do like the Mayans and stop it

    Wat a bunch of clowns

  8. CEO says:

When one chooses to become a part of the electoral system they should make every effort to solve problems not become problems. Unfortunately the latter is usually true.

Any person in a position of any authority regardless of the level that is living higher then their salaries are at the least suspects and should be investigated.

  9. Phillipa says:

I would like to see how much the government charge them in Income tax

  10. Timber says:

Knew he was an opportunist and a hustler the day I met him through his cousins in Belize City, who are my very good friends. Self-righteous, pompus and arrogant. Had two cousins, Tillets, who came down from Belmopan to come to school in Belize City as young boys. Did you see what happened with his sister who was at KHMH? Remember her as a younger person who couldn’t even tie her own shoe lace and tell you how to get through the door. They finally forced her out of KHMH due to incompetence and he conjured up a deal and she got an even higher post in BMP last year. Good questions punkgial and Philipa, where are FIU and Income Tax?
