Belizean gunned down in San Pedro Sula

And in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, El Heraldo newspaper, is reporting that a Belizean is among a group of four persons murdered in a massacre this morning in the Rivera Hernandez area of the city. The Belizean has been identified as Mario Roberto Cocon, but there are no further particulars on him. The other victims are from Honduras, Guatemalan and Mexico. According to the report, at this early stage the murder appears to be drug related because the men failed to deliver on a drug shipment.  The Belizean was identified through his passport found at the crime scene as was Mexican national, Miguel Torres Jimenez. The particulars of the two others are yet to be revealed. The bodies were removed from the bloody scene and taken to a morgue in San Pedro Sula for forensic testing. The newspaper also reports that confirmation for the motive of the murders will be known as investigations continue. Honduras is known as the most violent country in this hemisphere and since the beginning the week, there have been four massacres that have left numerous persons dead and many others injured.
